San Francisco Bay Areas Park Avenue fitness has chosen to contract Playgrounds Unlimited from the south bay to install synthetic turf in its exterior work-out facility.

They were particularly impressed with 1 inch safety foam padding under the turf to reduce potential injuries during their work out. The infill used in the plastic grass is a ceramic coated silica sand proven to keep the synthetic grass surface up to 20 degrees cooler than the traditional rubber crumb infill. A regulation baseball pitching mound was incorporated into the turf scheme to allow for pitching lessons, as well as a work out area that is safer than most.
